Object Import problems
#1
Having trouble importing objects. Please help.

I've successfully imported .dae files before, so that's what I'm trying to do and it's not working, though I may have forgotten some essential step. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong and/or if there's a better workflow.

My specific problem today:

I'm trying to import a tent for a camping scene, and found this one that's perfect, even if the file size is pretty large:  https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/tent-0eb...beaf25d824

It's not available in a dae, so I downloaded the smallest version (usdz), then used convert3d.org to convert it to dae. It looked like every other object I've successfully imported, so I did objects/import3Dobject/collada, and it looked normal, gave me the option to reduce the texture resolution, which I did, and it appeared to import (got "loading textures" and "saving object" progress bars), but I don't see it in my object library, or in the corresponding support data folder.

Tried it several more times, playing with the texture resolution, which appeared to be my only option I could modify, and I also tried also creating a new object category folder, which it did create, but still the same result of nothing in the folder within Frameforge or the support folder. What am I doing wrong?

FWIW, I also tried importing the larger, original .fbx file; and I tried importing this super basic tent from this very forum (https://forum.frameforge.com/thread-4876...ort+object). In both cases every Frameforge file import option (object/import3dobject/collada, VRML, FBX, etc) showed the file in question grayed out and unable to import. I also couldn't get convert3d.org or any other free file format converter I could find to recognize either of those file types to make it into a dae.

Got all the same results both before and after updating to the latest Frameforge version 4.2.2.4. I'm on a 2020 iMac (3.6 10-core Intel i9, AMD Radeon Pro 5500, Sonoma 14.2.1) that seems to have no problems running Frameforge otherwise.

Any help you can offer is much appreciated. Thank you!
