Expansion pack problems
#1
Hey all,

Just moved to a new computer and have FF 3.5 installed. Tried to install the C&J expansion pack, but it says it can't find a valid copy of FF. I reinstalled FF, but it didn't help.

Just in case it matters, I pulled the files from the C&J install disc and am trying to launch from a drive (my new computer doesn't have an optical drive).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Kevin,
hmmm...
I only can highly recommend the great support team. I am sure they find a solution in no time at all.

Jessariah,

I may be confused by your email so apologies in advance but you are trying to install the expansion pack from within a running instance of FrameForge, correct?  If so, that would be a very weird message to receive.  Can you confirm please?

(BTW, in the event you were not, just remember that expansion packs are installed from the FrameForge interface.  Go to the Tools menu and select "Install Expansion Pack" and just follow the prompts from there.)

I actually wasn't trying to install from within FF, but I tried that and whatever file type it is looking for isn't there. All I have are the files I pulled from the expansion pack disc (but there is no .cpack file).

What is the file extension of the files you did pull from the CD then?
