My frameforge is crashing on an infinite loop. Is there any way around this? I emailed tech support a week ago and got no response.
Is there a way to make frameforge restart without attempting to load the previous project file(s)?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Choco,
I saw your email last week and we did respond to it. I'll omit your name and email address but the following is what I responded to your email with.
We have released another update for FrameForge. Can you run the WebGrab program updater in order to update your install and then let me know if the problem persists.
We looked at the crash report and can see that you clicked the central button of the zoom throttle, which opened the numeric zoom dialog, and then typed a key, but those clues have not been enough for me to reproduce the crash. I'm not sure what would be enough; maybe the exact sequence of keystrokes including arrow keys if you can recall them.
The current version of FrameForge is version 4.0.4.10 and you can update FrameForge by running the WebGrab program updater which is located in FrameForge's application directory.

Confirming that holding down the Option key on a Mac, while following the instructions worked- I have been able to circumvent the infinite loop of crashing. Â Thank you so much.

Choco,
No worries at all, I totally understand about the email. I just didnt want you thinking you had been blatantly ignored.
Yes, you are correct about the Option key in lieu of the Alt key since you are on a Mac. I'm glad that you were able to finish your project but that crashing issue is concerning. Circumventing the automatic loading of the timed backup fixes a symptom and ignores the problem. If you are able to use the program to create new previz files then it's reasonable to assume that the timed backup it was trying to load contains the root cause of the crash. I'd be happy to take a look at it. Doing so may result in us identifying the problem, fixing it and thus, saving someone else the same kind of headache in the future. Totally up to you though, no pressure.

Hi Chris
That sounds like a good idea. How do I send the project file to you? Thanks
