Hi fellow storyboarders,

My objects keep randomly getting glued together.

For example, I place a couch and a table in a room without gluing them together. After some time when I want to move only the couch, both objects move together.

When I right click I can't unglue them and even if I get the option, it does nothing. Going to objects>UNCLOCK ALL OBJECTS also does absolutely nothing. It's making me go crazy.

It is impossible to work like this and I need to finish these storyboards by tomorrow!!

You can select a single object by holding the strg or ctrl key. You also can experiment with the shift key. If objects are very close together they often build a bundle of props and move together.

It sounds like a bug with object grouping. Try selecting the objects, then go to Edit > Ungroup instead of unglue, and make sure “Auto-group” isn’t enabled in preferences. Restarting the app can also help reset stuck states.

FrameForge relies more on CPU and RAM than GPU, so upgrading from the Surface Book 1 to a laptop with a newer multi-core processor (e.g. Intel i7/i9 or Ryzen 7/9) and at least 16GB RAM will greatly improve performance.
As for the Blackmagic eGPU, it's not officially supported and may not provide noticeable gains with FrameForge, since the software doesn’t heavily use GPU acceleration.
