Robo arm on top of BMW X5 with scorpio head and camera
#1
Attached a movable Robo-arm to the top of BMW X5. 12' arm has Scorpio head on end of arm with full functions. Arm rotates 360 and goes up and down. We use this real car when filming car chases all the time.

ADMIN NOTE: We updated this Robo Arm to full Camera Equipment capabilities and to do so we removed the scorpio head and replaced it with a mitchell mount, allowing you to attach any compatible head. So, now in V3 Pro or Stereo (will not work in V2 or V3 Core) you can now attach any desired head, then your desired camera and it will have all the camera functionality of a physical camera mounted on another rig such as a dolly or jib. Also, when viewing through the camera, on the boom the camera controls now control the Robo-arm.

Enjoy and thanks for sharing this.

Very cool! Note to all: this will require the Pro or Stereo Version of FrameForge Previz 3 for it to load correctly.

Okay, we've updated the object and added more capabilities to it at the same time. See the ADMIN NOTE: on the message above with the file attachment and re-download the newly modified file. According to the model's range of motion, it looks like it can crane up/down only by about 18 degrees. Is this actually accurate for the real equipment?

NOTE: If you've already downloaded the previous version, you will need to delete the .u3d file if you want to install it into the same directory as the .u3d file as otherwise the program may get "confused."
